COOPERATIVA DI COSTRUZIONI Modena - società cooperativa dal 1908

At the beginning of the 20^th century, the first cooperatives were created and,  through subsequent unions, the constitution of Cooperativa di Costruzioni was formed. In those years, the first cooperatives in the cities and the countryside of the southern area of Modena were created in order to respond to the issues of the time, such as unemployment and the improvement of work conditions. And starting from a handful of these cooperatives, the first of which was the Cooperativa Muratori e Manovali of Novi in 1908, through successive mergers and incorporations, the current Cooperativa di Costruzioni was developed. Going through not only two World Wars but also moments of deep crises for the building industry, the company’s configuration changed significantly. Almost a century has passed and though the company has kept its initial values, today it lives and operates in a complex market. 

The area of activity covers northern and central Italy and is divided into three business "groups”: Construction, Real Estate and Prefabricated. 
The first group operates in the field of procurements, where 80% of the activity is represented by public works, including residential, commercial and office building, infrastructures, industrial building, building restoration and recovery. The real estate group mainly focuses on residential building in the headquarters’ province, as well as targeted interventions in the northern-central area of the country. The Prefabricated, with a production plant in Campogalliano (Modena) mainly operates in the field of industrial and commercial structures.
