The headquarters’ building is equipped with a tri-generation plant, using two gas micro turbines with adjustable production of 130 electrical Kw and 224 thermal Kw. The heat need is integrated by a 350 Kw condensing boiler, which automatically activates when needed. Cooling is guaranteed by an absorption refrigeration group, which uses the heat produced by the micro turbines and/or by the boiler. Everything has a PLC control and management and a EIB supervision. The heating and cooling of the different environments consists of integrated ceiling radiant panels in rooms with radiant system, floor panels or fan-convectors according to the collocation and the use intended. Each office is equipped with proximity and light sensors, which provide the information required for the air-conditioning, the intruder alarm system, the lighting and dimming of lamps. Temperature control is very specific, with a room-controller in the different offices and PLC with impulses to the thermostatic valves, modulating the opening and allowing to reach the comfort temperature gradually, without peaks. The opening and closing of the windows is an integrating part of the temperature control both passively and actively. The information for the movement of the windows also come from a weather station located on the roof of the building (wind, temperature, rain, humidity). External accesses are regulated by an “access control” system with custom badges readers allowing access to the building, and with the intruder alarm function completely customised and automatic.
